Disc 1: Foundational Juggling Skills for Living on the Edge presents the basic building blocks of the K.A.T. Fitness System. In addition to covering basic kettlebell juggling safety rules and logistics and reviewing the basic traditional swing (between the legs), this DVD introduces kettlebell juggling swings, flips, and tap techniques performed in various planes of motion that are unique to the system. Among the techniques covered are lateral swings, behind-the-back swings, and discus-style swings, as well as innovative two-kettlebell moves such as Iron Cross swings and Colliding-Opposing swings. Building on these skills, Disc 1 then combines different swing techniques into linear “Traveling Viking” and pirouette movement patterns that are found only in the K.A.T. Fitness System.
